Indigeneity, Illustrated: Art Writing's Next Generation

How does one research and write about Indigenous art, and who gets to shape the frameworks used? For generations, much of art criticism has been filtered through Eurocentric traditions that don’t reflect the ways Indigenous artists and writers understand their work. In this panel, Indigenous artists and art writers discuss the approaches they bring to writing about art: methods informed by culture, community, and storytelling rather than inherited critical structures.
